Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, the student learns the methods of utilizing waste generated by the processing of dairy products. Knows current examples where waste is evaluated. Gains information about biomass conversions, compost, biogas and bioethanol production.

Course Content

Definitions and classification of by-products and residues of the dairy industry, structural characteristics and chemical compositions of wastes and wastes, character of food industry wastewater and treatment methods.
