This course focuses on the principles of fluid therapy in animals with dehydration, acid-base disturbances, and electrolyte imbalances. Selection and preparation of appropriate solutions, routes of administration, dosage, infusion rate, possible complications, and rational fluid therapy approaches in clinical cases will be covered through theoretical and practical applications.
| 1. | Knows the pathophysiology of fluid and electrolyte balance |
| 2. | Selects appropriate equipment, methods and solutions, for the treatment of disorders of fluid and electrolyte balance, |
| 3. | Performs effective and rational fluid-electrolyte treatment. |
