Objectives of the Course

Understanding the content and importance of early childhood education, learning the unfolding of cognitive, language, physical, motor, social, emotional and ethics development in period of early childhood and discussing on these topics.

Course Content

The concept of early childhood, early childhood and pre-school education in Turkey and the World, definition of pre-school education, the important terms and ideas in pre-school education and the historical development of pre-school education, current status of pre-school education in Turkey and the World, pre-school children’s basic characteristics and needs, preschool teacher’s features, types of pre-school educational institutions, the role and importance of the family in pre-school education

1.He/She learns about the properties of cognitive development in the early childhood period according to the different theorists and making some comments on these topics
2.He/She learns about the properties of motor and physical development in early childhood period according to different theorists and making some comments on these topics
3.He/She learns about the properties of social, emotional and ethics development in early childhood period according to different theorists and making some comments on these topics.
4.He/She learns about the properties of language development according to different theorists and making comments some comments on this topic.
5.He/She learns about speech disorders and to connects with related institutions to correct
6.He/She discusses about problems of pre-school education and early childhood period and proposes some solutions.
7.He/She recognizes children who need special education and contacts the relevant institutions if he needs
