Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is the classroom teacher candidates on the Turkish education, Turkish education revolution, Turkey, the Turkish education system and teacher training for general elements of the theoretical knowledge about the past to comprehend the phases.

Course Content

History of Turkish education is taught. Before the republic of education and teacher training institutions. Turkish Education Revolution; 1. Historical background of the revolution, philosophical, ideological and political foundations. Turkish Educational Revolution 2. Unification of Education Law: historical background, scope, application and importance of secularization in Turkish education system. 3. Co-education and education of girls, Writing Revaluation, public schools, public houses. The basic principles of education system of the Republic of Turkey. Village Institutes, Training Institutes, Teacher Schools. Universities and teacher training. Developments in the field of Turkish education
