Objectives of the Course

Westernism in Turkey, the Western perception and movement, and Westernization, the plane of thought and action, to give information on all of the content and size of the event, understand the importance of

Course Content

Discussion of the terminology related terms; Conservatism and Change in the Ottoman State and Society in properties of the structure, the military and non-discrimination; grooming patterns and organization of production since the dissolution of the system, reforms before Nizam- ı Cedit; Movements in the Tanzimat Period, language and thought; Constitutional years of Ottoman Identity: Islamic Identity, the Republican Turkish Identity, Nation State and the revolutions, the Republican principles of issue preservation, progress towards democracy, society and the individual's training and equipment.
