Objectives of the Course

Students will be able to research and discuss the history of civilization and to analyze the social, political and to enable them to think and comment on the effects of military activities on contemporary civilizations.

Course Content

Formation of the World and Prehistoric Ages; Ancient Mesopotamian History and Civilization; Ancient Egyptian History and Civilization; Ancient Anatolian Civilizations; Central Asian and Iranian Civilizations; Ancient Greek Civilization; Roman Civilization; History of the Middle Ages (5th-15th centuries); Europe in the New Age (15th-17th centuries); Age of Enlightenment (18th century); Democratic Revolutions and the Industrial Revolution; 20th and 21st centuries. Century); Democratic Revolutions and the Industrial Revolution; 20th and 21st Century: Wars, Peace and Globalization.
