Objectives of the Course

Students will be able to: comprehend international strategy frameworks; explain adaptation and mitigation options and ways; define compliance and national responsibilities; explain the relationship between carbon trading, combating climate change and development; comprehend climate change and poverty reduction; explain local responsibilities in diseases and disasters; define adaptation and mitigation effects in the world and Turkey.

Course Content

This course aims to define the natural and anthropogenic factors that constitute the main causes of global climate change; risks, social approaches, and ecological problems due to climate change; understanding of environmental change, environment and development issues of international importance on climate change; discussing climate change issues at regional, national, international and local levels; The principles of the approach to adaptation to global climate change include social education within the scope of awareness, vulnerability and adaptation.
