Objectives of the Course

To provide students with the knowledge, skills, and current approaches necessary for the assessment and management of urogynecological problems

Course Content

This course covers the anatomy and physiology of the lower urinary tract and pelvic floor, the mechanism of continence, the effects of pregnancy and childbirth on the pelvic floor, the etiology, assessment, prevention, and management of urogynecological problems, particularly urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as conservative treatment approaches, current treatment methods, and midwifery care in urogynecological disorders.
