Objectives of the Course

To know the importance of nutrition in the elderly that located within the risk groups in the community, factors that effects nutrition, assessment of nutritional status, food and nutrient requirements in elderly, the protection, development and improvement of the elderly health, and the development of nutrition plans and programs, prevention of chronic disease frequently observed in the elderly.

Course Content

This course is included the factors affecting food consumption in elderly, the importance of nutrition, food and nutrient requirements, evaluation of nutritional status, food and nutrition programs, policies, research and education in the elderly, prevention of common chronic diseases of elderly.
