Objectives of the Course

Within this course, researchers will learn about care, supply, production and manipulation of labaratory animals and basic applications on labaratory animals. Apart from that, it is aimed to build awareness about ethical issues in medical sciences and experimental researches

Course Content

Within this course, students will learn about reproductive biology, anatomical and physiological characteristics of animals such as rabbits,mouse, rat, guinea, feeding at the international standards, produce and maintain, identify the appropriate species for the study, the importance of temperature and light,injection methods , surgical interventions, anesthesia and medical treatment, autopsy, collection of blood and tissue samples from animals,decapitation of labaratory animals and other euthanized techniques with theoric and practical applications.It is considered about analysing ethical principles and their application, rules, the national and international animal mobility, the working principles and ethical regulations in Adnan Menderes University for scientific studies.
