Objectives of the Course

The aim is to enable students to gain knowledge of masonry structures and their structural behavior.

Course Content

Introduction to masonry structures, overview of building materials, overview of load-bearing systems, loads, damage mechanisms, experimental methods, literature review, strengthening techniques for masonry structures, numerical modeling of masonry structures.
