The aim of this course is to develop students’ academic writing, critical thinking, and scientific research skills. It is intended to enable students to understand the structure of academic texts, use referencing styles, critically evaluate scientific sources, and prepare research proposals and academic texts in the field of tourism management in accordance with ethical principles.
This course covers academic writing and critical thinking, the academic writing process and techniques, access to academic sources, referencing styles (APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA), the structure of academic texts, literature review and synthesis, evaluation of research methods, writing the findings, discussion, and conclusion sections, as well as academic article analysis and research proposal preparation. Within the scope of the course, students examine academic studies in the field of tourism and develop their critical writing and analytical skills.
