Objectives of the Course

To know the functioning of the national juvenile justice system, the system of succulent, victim witnesses and children in need of protection in the justice system and to know the principles of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work and to know the professional roles and responsibilities and to gain the ability to define roles and responsibilities as child development in the justice system.

Course Content

Definition, causes and prevention of juvenile delinquency; Prevention of family crime in the prevention of juvenile delinquency. In the world and Turkey will focus on juvenile delinquency.

Learning Outcomes
1.Analyzes the fundamental principles, structure, and functioning of the juvenile justice system within the framework of national and international legislation.
2.Evaluates the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Child Protection Law, and related legal regulations in terms of the juvenile justice system.
3.Critically interprets theoretical approaches explaining juvenile delinquency and the risk factors associated with children in conflict with the law.
4.Analyzes interdisciplinary collaboration among institutions and professionals within the juvenile justice system and develops recommendations for improvement.
5.Evaluates contemporary issues in juvenile justice and child protection services based on scientific evidence and develops policy and practice recommendations.
