Objectives of the Course

To be able to explain concept development during the preschool period.

Concepts, theories of concept formation, concepts to be acquired in the preschool period, activities supporting concept development.

1.Analyzes major theories of concept and cognitive development and explains concept acquisition processes during the preschool period.
2.Evaluates individual, familial, and environmental factors affecting concept development in the preschool period based on scientific evidence.
3.Analyzes key concepts to be acquired during the preschool years and evaluates methods and techniques for concept teaching according to children's developmental characteristics.
4.Designs educational programs that support concept development in preschool children through the use of concept maps, activities, and instructional materials.
5.Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and practices designed to support concept development and provides evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
