Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to evaluate current theoretical approaches, scientific research, and evidence-based practices in the field of special education, and to analyze current intervention, support, and educational practices for different groups of individuals with special needs.

Course Content

This course examines current research, evidence-based practices, and contemporary approaches in special education, including current intervention programs, technology-supported practices, family-centered approaches, inclusive education practices, and multidisciplinary studies for different disability and special needs groups such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, speech and language disorders, visual impairment, and hearing impairment.
