Objectives of the Course

To learn detailed knowledge on the events taking place during cell electrophysiological studies and cell monitoring techniques

Course Content

Ionic movements in the cell, properties of excitable membranes, ionic currents and conductivity, basic electrophysiological methods, voltage and patch clamp protocols, principles of signal recording and processing, interpretation of the recordings, light and lenses, principles of visualization techniques, basic microscopic techniques, fluorescent labelling methods, confocal microscopy
