Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to give students knowledge and skills in child and family health protection and development.

Course Content

This course includes the state of children's health in our country and the world, factors that affecting the child's growth and development, growth and development policies, the health beliefs of the parents, family and children's health behaviors, nutrition principles according to age group, screening and immunization, nursing approaches to issues preventing risky behaviors.

1.To compare the state of child health in our country and around the world.
2.To discuss child health practices and programs for conservation and development in our country and around the world.
3.To discuss theories and models related to the growth and development of children.
4.To explain the current approach to the protection of child health nursing.
5.To determine the requirements according to age period, according to the holistic care of children and family-centered care approach.
6.To discuss health behaviors and beliefs of the of children and their families
7.To plan and apply the nursing care and provide for needs of healthy children and families.
