Objectives of the Course

A detailed investigation on characteristics of Carian sculpture, artists and regional workshops and their reflections in Roman art. The relations of Carian sculpture with islands in light of cultural and political relations.

Course Content

Carian Classical and Hellenistic sculpture will be defined in the light of the findings, the centers, styles, and cultural links with the Aegean islands.
