The Culinary Arts program offers a 2-year associate degree following high school education, utilizing the 3+1 WTP (Workplace Training Program) model, which consists of 3 semesters of theoretical education and 1 semester of practical training at a business. Students are admitted through the Student Selection Examination (ÖSS) administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). There are 75 students enrolled in the program. Students are required to take all courses offered within the program and achieve a passing grade of at least 60 out of 100. Additionally, to graduate, students must successfully complete a mandatory 30-day internship.
History
Didim Vocational School started education on Didim Campus of Adnan Menderes University in 2005. The campus is located on Akbük bay and it is 13 km far from Didim and 7 km from Akbük. The school provides a-three-year study (including one year of English prep classes) in three different departments which are; - Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, - Tourism and Hotel Management Department, - Tourism and Travel Management Department.

Purpose
The aim of the department is to raise qualified staff for food and beverage industry. The department also aims to help the mid-level and executive managers about vocational education in accordance with the needs of the food and beverage industry. The department focuses on raising students that are able to speak at least two foreign languages, have enough knowledge about Turkish and other cuisines and have the attributes of entrepreneurism. The students are not only responsible for theoretical courses but also take workshop and practical courses related to department.
