Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to enable students to understand the concept of digital museology, digital cultural heritage applications, virtual museum design, digital collection management, and next-generation museum technologies. By the end of the course, students are expected to be able to evaluate digital museology applications in terms of tourism, cultural heritage, visitor experience, and destination promotion.

Course Content

This course covers the concept of digital museology, digital cultural heritage applications, virtual museum and online exhibition design, the digitization of museum collections, digital inventory and archiving processes, 3D modeling, augmented reality, virtual reality, mobile museum applications, digital guided tours, digital storytelling, accessibility, digital promotion, ethics, and current museum technologies.
