The objective of this course is to help students understand the concept of recreational activities, the types of activities, and the recreational activity management process. The course aims to equip students with the skills to design activities for different target audiences, plan venues and logistics, manage human resources and volunteers, assess risk and safety measures, and develop sustainable and inclusive event practices.
This course covers the concepts of recreation and recreational activities, types of recreational activities, the event management process, analysis of the target audience and participant experience, event design, venue, equipment, and logistics management, human resources and volunteer management, risk, safety, and emergency planning, as well as nature-based, sports, healthy living, children, youth, and family-focused activities, and sustainable and inclusive recreational event management.
