The objective of this course is to convey industrial innovation methodologies, creative problem-solving techniques, and project management processes to students in an applied manner. Within the scope of this course, it is aimed for students to acquire the skills to resolve chronic quality defects on manufacturing lines using systematic innovation tools such as Design Thinking and TRIZ, integrate Industry 4.0 and digital transformation trends into quality processes, perform patent searches, and draft an innovative technical project file in compliance with ISO 56002 standards by conducting cost and risk analyses (FMEA, ROI).
The concept of innovation, its types, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation; stages of Design Thinking (empathy, ideation); TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) and the Contradiction Matrix; process innovation, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke; risk management in innovative projects (Process FMEA); intellectual and industrial property rights, patent search techniques; cost analysis and ROI calculation in innovation projects; ISO 56002 Innovation Management System standards; technical project documentation and innovative solution presentations.
