Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to teach students fundamental and advanced measurement techniques used in production processes, calibration methods, and their integration into quality management systems. Students will gain the competence to use precision measuring instruments, perform error analysis, manage calibration processes, and document the obtained data in accordance with standards.

Course Content

The course consists of two main modules: measurement technologies and calibration management. The first 8 weeks cover dimensional measurement applications; the final 6 weeks focus on metrology concepts, calibration hierarchy, and the calibration processes of modern measuring devices through practical applications.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Selects and uses fundamental and advanced dimensional measuring instruments used in production processes in accordance with standards.
2.Analyzes quality conformity by comparing data obtained from parts with form and dimension tolerances in technical drawings.
3.Explains metrology concepts, the necessity of calibration, and the importance of accreditation processes in quality management.
4.Performs calibration of measuring instruments, identifies measurement errors, and conducts stability and repeatability analyses of the devices.
5.Contributes to traceability processes by reporting measurement data using digital tools and documentation techniques.
