The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship and business management, enable them to analytically identify business opportunities in the manufacturing sector, and equip them with the ability to document innovative business ideas using the internationally recognized Business Model Canvas. Throughout the course, students will learn the establishment processes of a business, its core functions, and financial and operational requirements. They will also gain practical experience in transforming their technical knowledge in production and quality control into commercial projects by integrating it with KOSGEB and the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem support mechanisms.
The course covers the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur, factors of production and entrepreneurial motivations; the entrepreneurial process, idea generation, and creativity techniques; components and applications of the Business Model Canvas; the concept of business, types of businesses, company establishment stages, and legal procedures; core business functions (production, marketing, finance, etc.) as well as mission and vision design; characteristics of SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), capacity concepts, and SWOT analysis; the entrepreneurship ecosystem, networking, and KOSGEB support programs; intellectual and industrial property rights; and business plan presentation techniques.
