Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the fundamental principles of computer-aided manufacturing systems, the operating logic of CNC milling and CNC turning machines, toolpath generation processes, and the use of computer-aided manufacturing technologies in quality control processes. The course aims to enable students to interpret manufacturing data, select appropriate manufacturing methods, and make quality-oriented decisions in production processes.

Course Content

This course covers the operating principles of CNC milling and CNC turning machines, programming codes, cutting tool selection and setup, toolpath generation methods, milling and turning operations, and the transfer of CAD data to manufacturing systems. In addition, quality control applications and the use of digital manufacturing technologies in production processes are discussed.
