Objectives of the Course

To understand what old age is, the aging process, different factors that slow down aging, the social status of the elderly, socio-social and cultural changes, and to evaluate the components related to active aging.

Course Content

The course contains the exposition of the policies regarding to the individuals and social groups in order to increase the average length of life as well as preserve the quality of life. Also, the course contains the social security, care and aid policies to help the individuals to realize their true potentials and have their total well-being as physical, social, and intellectual.
