Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable Food Technology Program students to understand the market dynamics in the food sector. It aims to provide students with a theoretical foundation in marketing management, consumer behavior, and market strategies, and to develop a sectoral vision.

Course Content

The course covers fundamental concepts such as an introduction to marketing management, market types, consumer behavior, and market demand forecasting. In subsequent weeks, market segmentation, product positioning, pricing, distribution, and promotion strategies will be discussed in detail; and topics such as evaluating marketing performance and market research for the food sector will be covered.

1.Ability to define consumer behavior, market types, and marketing management processes in the food market.
2.Ability to develop market segmentation, target market selection, and product positioning strategies specific to the food sector.
3.Ability to plan product, pricing, distribution, and promotion strategies in accordance with the characteristics of food products.
4.Ability to develop solutions to problems encountered in food production processes based on scientific data, as well as to solve marketing problems with an analytical and critical approach.
5.Ability to conduct food marketing and distribution processes in accordance with professional ethical rules, legal regulations, and environmental responsibility awareness.
