Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to enable the student to gain basic anatomy knowledge about musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, genital system, urinary system, nervous system, endocrine system, and sensory organs.

Course Content

The course includes basic concepts and terms related to anatomy, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, genital system, urinary system, nervous system, endocrine system, and sensory organs.

Learning Outcomes
1.It can explain the anatomical postures, planes, and axes of the human body; identify and show the localization of axial and appendicular (upper/lower extremity) skeletal bones, joints, and major muscle groups.
2.They know the main blood vessels that supply the heart and body. They have a basic understanding of the anatomy of the organs that make up the heart and respiratory system.
3.Students gain basic knowledge of the anatomy of the organs that make up the digestive system.
4.Students will acquire a basic understanding of the anatomy of the organs that make up the urogenital system.
5.Have basic anatomy knowledge at a level that can be applied on the body during clinical works.

Basic concepts of anatomy, medical terms, anatomical parts and regions of the human body, planes and axes
Week 2 - Theoretical
Basic concepts of musculoskeletal anatomy, Osteology
Week 3 - Theoretical
Upper extremity bones, Lower extremity bones
Week 4 - Theoretical
Basic concepts related to joints, Cranium joints, Axial skeleton joints
Week 5 - Theoretical
Upper extremity joints, Lower extremity joints
Week 6 - Theoretical
Joint System; General joint knowledge.
Week 7 - Theoretical
Circulatory system anatomy; Heart and arteries, veins
Week 8 - Theoretical
Circulatory system anatomy; Heart and arteries, veins (Midterm Exam)
Week 9 - Theoretical
Answering midterm exam questions. Respiratory System; Nasus, paranasal sinuses, larynx (larynx), trachea (trachea) and bronchus (bronchi) and lungs.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Digestive System; Mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach duodenum, jejunum, ileum, colon. Attachment organs of the digestive tract; Liver, pancreas, peritoneum.
