Objectives of the Course

Learning diseases, definition of diseases required surgical intervention, etiopathogenesis, purpose of surgery, points to take into account.

Consisting of issues regarding definitions of surgical system diseases, surgical intervention methods and the scope of surgical intervention

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains and evaluates the fundamental principles of surgical incisions, suture techniques, wound healing, and wound care based on scientific evidence.
2.Analyzes preoperative and postoperative care processes and early and late postoperative complications in terms of patient care requirements.
3.Evaluates the care needs of individuals undergoing gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, endocrine, otorhinolaryngologic, orthopedic, and cardiovascular surgeries and plans appropriate nursing care approaches.
4.Explains home care practices, patient education, and preventive care interventions for individuals with stomas, tracheostomies, and other surgical procedures.
5.Develops evidence-based solutions for surgical patient care by applying ethical principles, patient safety standards, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
