In this course, it is aimed to provide students with basic knowledge about the prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases with high prevalence and incidence.
Information on the etiology of chronic diseases, risk factors and preventive healthy lifestyle behaviors
| 1. | Explains and evaluates the prevalence, incidence, etiology, and risk factors of non-communicable chronic diseases based on epidemiological evidence. |
| 2. | Analyzes national and international policies, programs, and strategies for the prevention of chronic diseases in terms of preventive health services. |
| 3. | Explains evidence-based healthy lifestyle behaviors for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and cancer, and develops appropriate recommendations for individuals. |
| 4. | Evaluates the adaptation process, quality of life, and home care needs of individuals with non-communicable chronic diseases within a holistic care approach. |
| 5. | Develops solutions to improve community health by applying scientific, ethical, and interdisciplinary approaches to the prevention and management of chronic diseases. |
