The aim of this course is to enable students to identify the educational needs of patients and their families, develop education plans and materials tailored to these needs, and evaluate the education they have prepared by delivering a mock presentation.
This course covers the fundamental concepts of patient education, learning approaches, the identification of educational needs, individual and environmental factors influencing patient education, the development of education plans, the creation of educational materials, and the evaluation of the educational process. In the practical component of the course, students prepare a patient education plan, conduct a simulated presentation of the education in a classroom setting using appropriate materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of the education.

| 4. | Plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs for patients and caregivers in accordance with patient safety, environmental arrangements, legal responsibilities, support systems, multidisciplinary teamwork, and lifelong learning principles. |
| 5. | Critically analyzes problems encountered during patient education practices, develops evidence-based solutions, and integrates professional communication, ethical principles, technology use, and continuous professional development into practice. |
