The aim of this course is for the student to acquire the ability to identify the basic care needs of home care patients and to perform appropriate care practices safely and in accordance with ethical principles.
To enable the acquisition of practical care skills in healthcare settings and to support these competencies through the care process and ethical principles; to ensure the student develops skills in record-keeping and in collaborating with the interdisciplinary team for the benefit of the patient.
| 1. | Identifies the basic care needs of the elderly by assessing their health status. |
| 2. | Acts in accordance with patient safety, hygiene, and ethical principles during the care process. |
| 3. | Records observations related to the care process and reports them to the relevant healthcare personnel. |
| 4. | Conducts research on current care practices for professional development. Contributes to the care process in collaboration with healthcare professionals. |
| 5. | Provides education to the patient and their family regarding the basic care process. Performs care procedures that support the patient's activities of daily living. |
