Objectives of the Course

With this lesson,to provide students with basic film knowledge, to enable them to use movies as an inspiring tool for their professional development, to expand their world of perception by introducing them to the creative works of different cultures, to make students active moviegoers who think and judge, It is aimed to give practical information necessary for making a movie.

Course Content

In the process from the end of the 19th century to the present, the history of cinema is examined by considering the main cinema movements, genres and schools of different countries and periods. In the course, in which the development of cinema is evaluated in the context of economic, social and political changes, films are analyzed by associating them with cultural and artistic movements, and the effects of technological innovations and industrial changes on film production are investigated.
