Objectives of the Course

To provide students with knowledge and practical skills regarding the biochemical properties of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes and hormones, and the laboratory methods used for their analysis.

Carbohydrates and analytical methods, lipids and analytical methods, proteins and analytical methods, enzymes and enzyme analysis methods.

1.Understands the structure, functions, and analytical determination methods of carbohydrates.
2.Evaluates the structure and functions of proteins and the biochemical analytical techniques used for protein determination.
3.Interprets the properties, mechanisms of action, and enzyme activity analysis methods of enzymes.
4.Evaluates, reports, and interprets the results obtained from biochemical analyses in clinical and biological contexts.
5.Demonstrates knowledge of the definition, classification, metabolism, laboratory analysis, and disease-related aspects of hormones.
