Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge regarding the general characteristics of the class Insecta, their benefits and harms to humans, their morphology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the methods of collecting specimens.

Course Content

Classification of animals; benefits and harms of insects; external structure of insects; internal structure and functioning of insects; reproduction and development in insects.

1.Being able to identify insects.
2.To gain knowledge about the benefits and harms of insects and be able to classify them accordingly.
3.The ability to evaluate the morphological characteristics of insects in the context of agricultural pest control.
4.The ability to evaluate the anatomical and physiological characteristics of insects from the perspective of agricultural pest control.
5.The ability to collect insects in accordance with international regulations and to build a collection.
