The aim is to teach students the basic principles of fishing; to provide them with technical competence in equipment use, knot techniques, and fish species. In addition, it is to instill a culture of environmentally friendly fishing by raising awareness about the protection of marine and inland water ecosystems, sustainable fishing ethics, and amateur fishing legislation.

The course covers the basic structure of aquatic ecosystems, fish biology, and behavioral patterns, as well as teaching proper equipment selection. During the training, students learn basic fishing knots and various fishing techniques (LRF, Spin, Surf, etc.). Current legislation in Turkey, fishing bans, species conservation awareness, and ecosystem sustainability form the core focus of the course
