Objectives of the Course

Planning and applying effective parent education implementations through developing skills such as gaining knowledge on parent, communicating and collaborating with parents.

Course Content

Basic concepts about parent education, ,the importance, objectives and principles of parent education, parent education models; parent theories (Family System Theories, Social Theory, Bioecological Theory, Structural Functional Theory); parent education programs in Turkey and in other countries; planning parent training activities, application and evaluation; methods and techniques used in parent education; parent participation activities (parent communication activities, participation in educational activities of the parent, individual interviews, home visits); Integrated Parent Support Education Guide with 0-36 month Educational Program for Children and Integrated Parent Support Education Guide with Pre-education program
