Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce practices based on the principles of positive psychology for children in early childhood, to provide teachers and parents with skills that can guide them in this field, and to support the development of children's psychological resilience, self-awareness and positive character traits.

Course Content

Definition, history and basic principles of positive psychology, relationship with early childhood development, positive emotions and early childhood, strengths and character virtues, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's "flow" theory and applications through play, creating a positive classroom environment and teacher attitudes, positive psychology applications with family participation, activity design: Planning positive psychology-based classroom applications.
