Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide pre-service teachers with the skills to develop philosophical thinking and discussion skills with preschool children. In addition, it is aimed that pre-service teachers will gain competence in asking effective questions, conducting philosophical dialogues, adapting texts and collaborating with families. The course aims to provide a learning process that integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical experiences, enabling students to do effective and creative philosophical work with preschool children.

Course Content

This course covers the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for conducting philosophical thinking and inquiry processes with preschool children. Within the scope of the course; the basic concepts, history, various application methods and classroom management skills of philosophy with children will be conveyed, and students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to monitor and evaluate the intellectual development of children.
