Objectives of the Course

To gain a basic knowledge and understanding of the basic problems of philosophy in the Middle Ages, the transformations it underwent and the concepts and ideas specific to this period.

Course Content

Plotinus and Neo-Paltonianism, Patristic Philosophy, Augustine, Boethius, The Controversy of the Universals, Socolastic Philosophy, Anselm, Thomas Aquinas, William of Ockhma.
