Objectives of the Course

To introduce the field of sociology of literature, stimulate interest in studies carried out on the field, give rise to a consciousness concerned with unique, irreplaceable influence of literature and other fine arts, despite their different future fields of study, on self progress of an individual, help students acquire a systematic view of the importance of art for society.

Course Content

Introduction (objectives, method, general information, suggested readings); Reflection theories; expressionism; structualism, post structualism; literariness; sensitive effect theory, literal critics

1.(The students) acquire a systematic view of why art in general, literature in special are important for society.
2.appreciate the unique importance of being interested in literature and art for personal development.
3.develop the habit and joy of reading.

6.determine the main points of classics.
7.improve their ability to express themselves.
