Objectives of the Course

To understand the concept and types of diplomacy. To learn the historical development of diplomacy. To learn and apply diplomatic correspondence techniques.

Course Content

In this course, a conceptual introduction to diplomacy will be made and the basic characteristics of diplomacy will be discussed. The differences between traditional and new types of diplomacy will be examined. Diplomatic privileges and immunities will be discussed from the perspective of international law within the framework of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961. Evaluations will be made on official documents such as diplomatic correspondence, letters, notes, and doctrines.
