Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide to students the gaining skills and information about planning and administrating of greenhouse management, following the greenhouse technology, growing seedling and vegetable and finding a solutions by analytical thinking when encountered problems, evaluating of greenhouse x environment effects.

Course Content

The proper sites for vegetable growing in greenhouse. Seedling production, tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant, bean growing in greenhouse. Lettuce, melon, watermelon, pumpkin growing in greenhouse or other polyethylene tunnels (protected cultivation). According to growing species, climatizing, irrigation, fertilization techniques and encountered problems.

2.Ability to cultivate tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, lettuce, zucchini, melons, beans, and watermelons in a greenhouse.
3.The ability to solve various problems that may be encountered in production
4.Ability to select varieties and track new ones.
5.The ability to plan, manage, and direct seedling production and vegetable cultivation in a greenhouse.
