Objectives of the Course

The aim was to raise awareness about fertilization by examining the nutrient uptake patterns, nutrient yield, and quality relationships in horticultural plants.

Course Content

Evaluation of basic soil properties in horticultural fertilization, fertilizer application schedules, fertilization of important horticultural crops in our country; application method, timing, type and quantity of fertilizer, and the effect of fertilization on yield and quality.

Learning Outcomes
1.Understanding the importance of basic soil properties in terms of fertilization.
2.Knowing the amount of nutrients that garden plants remove from the soil.
3.Learning about the nutrient uptake patterns of garden plants.
4.The ability to interpret the relationships between mineral nutrition and fertilization in horticultural plants, and their yield and quality.
5.The goal is to develop the skills to prepare fertilization programs for horticultural plants, considering the form, quantity, timing, and method of application of chemical fertilizers.
