Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to teach students the procedures and principles of occupational health and safety training to be given to employees in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, to develop the occupational health and safety culture, to teach the concept of occupational health and safety professional, and to provide information about the work and procedures to be performed.

Course Content

This course includes General, Health and Technical subjects from trainings that should be given to employees in order to provide occupational health and safety and occupational health and safety professionalism, activities, related laws and regulations, documents to be prepared within the scope of occupational health and safety will be explained, information on occupational health and safety management systems, the features and operation of these systems, sectoral examples specific to different sectors and applications will be given.

2.To be able to define and evaluate the risks of work safety that may occur in the work environment by analysing the production processes
3.To be able to recognize occupational safety materials, warnings and danger signs and plates, to have information about their properties and to have appropriate disbursement competence for their purpose
4.To have the skills of planning and implementing occupational safety trainings
5.To have sufficient knowledge about measurement techniques and methods for occupational safety and health
6.To follow, interpret and implement legislation in force in the field of occupational health and safety
7.Define and explain the concept of occupational health and safety professional.
8.Knows and can apply the procedures that the occupational health and safety professional should do.
9.Define and explain the basic principles, concepts and approaches of occupational health and safety management systems.

11.Analyze the current situation and needs of the sector in terms of Occupational Health and Safety.
12.Can make solution suggestions in line with the sectoral Occupational Health and Safety needs analysis, and project these suggestions.
