Objectives of the Course

The course aims to help students to know molecular genetics laboratory and equipments, and to learn basic principles of extraction, quantitation, preservation and analysing of DNA with molecular genetics techniques and interpreting analysis results.

Course Content

The course content briefly include lab safety, lab equipments and basic lab design, preparation of solutions, sample collection and DNA extraction, quality and quantity measurement of nucleic acids, DNA amplification, cutting DNA with restriction enzymes, gel electrophoresis and imaging, DNA markers, DNA sequencing and bioinformatics.
