Objectives of the Course

The primary objective of this course is to provide students with an advanced understanding and appreciation of current topics in molecular genetics. Recent advances and ethical considerations in molecular genetics research will be emphasized.

1.To be able to acquire the underlying theoretical principles of molecular genetics
2.To be able to apprehend the molecular basis for transcription, translation, replication, and gene regulation for both prokaryotes and eukaryotes
3.To be able to comprehend mutations and their mechanisms, and DNA repair systems
4.To be able to evaluate the impact of molecular genetics in physiology, and the diseases
5.Learns the use of molecular genetics in animal breeding
