Objectives of the Course

This course aims at to provide students with the ability to give critical decisions in emergency when necessary and to provide care, rehabilitation and training to the patients requiring intensive care with a holistic approach.

Course Content

Intensive care nursing, intensive care unit for planning and management in intensive care nursing interventions, fluid-electrolyte balance, nutrition, evidence-based practices, the intensive care patient monitoring and care, infection control, ethics, legal issues.

1.To be able to tell nursing interventions for the intensive care patient's physiological and psychological problems.
2.To be a ble to explain the invasive and non invasive nursing interventions to intensive care patients
3.To be able to explain the principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition for intensive care patients
4.To be able to say the principles of infection prevention and care in intensive care,
5.To be able to pay attention to ethical rules while performing nursing interventions specific to the intensive care unit
