Objectives of the Course

This course aims at to teach how to collect necessary data to investigate a health issue, and how to organise, analyze and interpret these data and how to make ultimate decision.

1.To have advanced conceptual and practical knowledge in the field of health statistics
2.To be able to access to scientific knowledge in the field of nursing and to follow the literature
3.To be able to evaluate acquired knowledge and skills critically, to specify learning needs and to develop a skill to manage learning
4.To be able to use the health statistics in his/her field to develop solutions based on scientific evidence
5.To be able inform relevant persons and institutions on issues related to health statistics
6.To be able to express ideas and proposals for the solutions to problems both in writing and orally
7.To be able to use statistics, computer, information and communication technologies as much as his/her field requires
8.To be able to acquire the habit of working in a team with other members of the health team approach; To integrate issues related to the education process, and independently of the other classes, learning, reading, study and research to develop the ability
