Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide information on the historical development of human rights and the functioning of basic human rights documents and institutions at international and national level.

Course Content

Definition and historical development of human rights and democracy; the terms of democracy, freedom, equality, different understandings of democracy, democratic culture, democratic citizenship, rights and freedoms, Children and women's rights, national and international regulations on human rights( The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights, Children's Rights Convention and so on.), fundamental problems in the field of human rights.
